The Kahaani Festival Pune – Reinvent Storytelling

The Kahaani festival is a children's festival which explores and re-imagines the art of storytelling through music, theatre, dance and puppetry along with various other art forms. The Kahaani festival, produced by Teamwork Arts, has had very successful editions in Ludhiana, Delhi, Udaipur and Jaipur. This June, the festival travels all the way to Pune for the first time bringing the magical world of storytelling to its doorstep. One is spoiled for choice with the multitude of performances to take in and activities to try their hand at. All are invited to be a part of the creative process that evolves when storytellers animate their joys, laughter, fears, beliefs, dreams and imaginations to listeners of all ages! Taking learning beyond the classroom, the festival creates an atmosphere for children to freely explore the realm of their imagination and creativity. The festival includes oral and written story telling through dramatized readings, dance, theatre, puppet shows, music, and a variety of performances and activities such as cartoon making, clay modelling and creative writing. The festival is for children from ages 4-16 years, parents and youth educators. The festival is free and open to one and all!

This will be the Kahaani Festival's first edition in Pune, with the theme 'Reinvent Storytelling'. Hosted by Takshila Education Society, the festival will be held on the 24th and 25th of June 2016, in DPS Pune from 9am-3pm.
