Organized by Pratham Books and Teamwork Arts, the Outreach Programme aims at widening the scope of the festival by reaching out to educational institutes to spread awareness about the art of storytelling.
Catering to children from the ages 4 to 16, the program includes sessions in each school with storytellers and various artiste facilitators conducting storytelling sessions and various theatre, dance, music and art workshops.

At Kahaani Festival, Pune, children got a chance to display their writing skills as well their vivid imagination as they wrote stories based on the illustrations by the Pratham Books’ StoryWeaver platform.
For the competition, children got the opportunity to choose from 4 different sets of illustrations. The winners were announced at the end of the festival and were selected from age groups: 8-10, 11-13 and 14 and above.
The winners of Tell-A-Tale are:
8-10 years: Arushi Wakde
11-13 years: Abha Prabhune
14 years and above: Riya Dharne
These illustrations are part of the #6FrameStoryChallenge, a campaign run by Pratham Books to build a rich bank of images for StoryWeaver. StoryWeaver is an open source digital repository of multilingual stories for children.
